Essential: security and delivery (e.g. Cloudflare) so the site works.
Optional: if allowed, we record simple first-party events on our own infrastructure
(page path, optional in-page section, coarse country from the CDN, chat open/send — not message text —
and video facade clicks such as /video/duck-soup/click).
No Google Analytics, ad pixels, or data sales. YouTube only loads after you click play on a facade.
In the EU and similar regions we ask before optional measurement (OK vs Essential only). In the United States, Canada, and Australia, optional measurement is on by default; turn it off anytime via Cookies in the footer or the buttons below.
Free tools on /tools (anonymiser, secret scrubber, email DNS checker, CV doctor) run in your browser. Pasted text and CV files never leave your device for Maqqa. The DNS checker queries a public resolver (Cloudflare or Google) from your browser — the domain is not sent to maqqa.dev.
Your preference is saved in localStorage (maqqa_consent_v1)
so we remember OK vs Essential only across visits.
Messages you send via the contact form are processed so we can reply (email to studio@). The on-site chat answers from a fixed FAQ; questions are queued briefly on our storage so the assistant can reply. Do not send passwords or sensitive personal data through chat or the form.
Optional Duck mode in the chat panel switches to a blunter, adult tone (swearing may appear).
It is opt-in, remembered in localStorage (maqqa-chat-duck-mode), and does not change what personal data we collect —
only how answers are phrased when a local model polishes the FAQ reply.
The site is for adults running businesses; Duck mode is not aimed at children.
Booking may use Calendly (or similar) when configured — their privacy policy applies on that embed. Newsletter signup uses Substack when you use that form — Substack’s policy applies there.
